About the Stronger Together Team.
We’re standing together in this year’s National NTEU elections because the next period for our union will be critical, and we believe strong, experienced, member-focused leadership matters.
Between us, we’ve spent years organising with members and leading the union at Branch, Division and National level. We’ve worked alongside members to grow the union, win strong agreements, take industrial action, recover stolen wages, save jobs, and hold university leadership to account.
We’re proud of what members have achieved together, and we’re focused on what comes next.

Priorities.
We’re focused on three clear priorities that build member power and deliver real outcomes.
Win excellent pay and conditions through bargaining and organising
Strong agreements don’t happen by chance. They’re won through collective action, smart strategy, and sustained organising.
Build a stronger, more active union in every workplace
A high-density, organised union, where members are active, connected and confident, is the foundation of everything we do.
Secure a well-funded, high-quality tertiary education system
We will continue to push for a system that serves the public good, backed by strong governance, real accountability, and protection for academic freedom and professional rights.
Our track record.
We don’t just talk about outcomes – we’ve helped deliver them with members across the country.
Our team has:
- Grown union membership and workplace strength
- Led successful bargaining campaigns across multiple universities
- Coordinated large-scale industrial action at State and national level
- Recovered more than $400 million in stolen wages
- Saved hundreds of jobs in the face of mass redundancies
- Driven national scrutiny and reform on university governance.
These wins weren’t delivered for members – they were won with members.

Our approach.
A union is its members. Everything we do starts there.
We believe in:
- Member-led organising: building real power in workplaces.
- Collective action: using that power to win outcomes.
- Experienced leadership: bringing strategy, good judgement and follow-through.
- Respect and collegiality: building consensus across all levels of the Union to achieve our shared objectives.
Our goal is to bring people together around our shared interests, build strength through robust and active networks of union members, and turn that strength into wins.
